I would exaggerate the light coming in from between the floors to call better attention to certain areas, like when the light streams over Joseph's face: have it completely over his eyes instead of just the really thin line.

For one thing I'm glad to see more people using this blog. It's a great way to post feedback in-between classes. Also good for you for using Storyboard Pro. You'll need that training on the outside. Play around with the program. You can really customize your layout. You can take the Toon Boom logo off and add your own.

It's one thing to draw your boards but no one is going to hire you if you don't know storyboard mechanics.
Study production boards fill in those boxes under the panels.

As for the panels themselves...
When you look at your board squint your eyes or post them on wall and look at them from across the room. If you can't tell what is going on, you know your problem. It must be readable. I like to say you have to "Army proof it." lol. If it's not clear it holds up the production. Which is a bad thing!!

Using tone is good, but you have to use it for a reason. Creating contract to draw your eye to an object of importance.

Most of your shots are MS. Change it up. CU, WS. Adding some depth with your panels will go along way. Go for some low angles, high angles.
Shot 8 needs to pull out. You can't tell what it is they are holding. Because in the previous shot we do not see him reaching for it. We don't know it's his hand.
Also be wary of twinning and centering in your frame. Make it interesting to look at. Composition is key. How important is that document that he is handing out. Ask yourself how you can show what he is feeling through his hands.

Well I don't want to overwhelm you with my post but you will learn more with every board. So keep it up and practice all you can digitally. Because that's all we use down here in LA land. I look forward to seeing the rest of the classes work in progress. Have a great weekend! ;)
