Xandra from NeverSleep - Roughs and Reworked Boards

I know this is a bit late, but it was a bit of a hectic weekend. Anyway, here are the roughs that you wanted to see as well as the revised storyboards. I tried to vary the shots with medium and long shots instead of having close ups all the time. I hope it worked out a bit better this time around. I also added in a simple background. I thought they'd be playing in a park kind of field instead of an actual stadium, thus the trees and bushes.

Word of Advice.

Hey all~! Many thanks to those of you who have uploaded over the weekend. Great practice!

I would just like to explain a little bit about the nature of my critique. I know I'm coming down on you HARD. As one of the last Storyboarding classes for many of you, this class is on a par with, say the PIXAR classes for the Animators. It is your last official chance to study, improve and examine industry standards while in the comfort of school.

I owe it to you to ensure that you all improve during the course of the next 13 weeks. This may not be easy for you to read or indeed, initially act upon. But I promise that with thorough dedication that it will become that way.

In order for you to succeed then you need to respond with courtesy, react with precision and realize that this it is always about necessary improvement~!

Just wanted to throw that out there... All the best,
Feathers

Hey Everybody

I've made a sketch up model of the ballpark complete with stands, dugout, concession stand, a couple of trees, yard, road and minivan. I'm using it to work out camera, take snapshots for background compositions. If anyone wants the file email me at jc@littlelizardproductions.com and I'll send it to you, of course you'll also need to download sketch up (its free from google). I recommend the first tutorial at the outset just to get navigation down. From there once you have your camera in place you can under Camera choose Field of View and drag up or down on the image to change the "focal length" of your camera.

Re-worked boards

Worked on all he stuff said during class, trying to get more on model, cleaned up my line-work, and showed more of a silhouette for the tongue wagging.

BTW, anyone know of an easy way to get the boards to show up in order on the blog? every time i upload images it shuffles them around in a completely random order, extremely frustrating trying to get them back in order manually.

New Roughs

Hey all, I threw these together pretty quick and wanted to ask if these worked more towards what was said in the critique. If so, I can start building off of these right away.
