Famous Frames – Artist: Mark Millicent
At first glance, what I
like most about Mike Millicent’s style is the strong emphases on his line work,
which is really the foundation of all his drawings. Then with color, he comes
with loose strokes similar to using markers, but you can tell most of his work
is digitally colored. I really like the vivid colors and simplified rendering
he’s chosen to stick with in which creates his distinct style. Not too overly
rendered that is quick to produce. What I also like about his style is in his
overall composition choices, he keeps a consist balance of space in every one
of his drawings that is very pleasant to the eye. Lastly, I really enjoy seeing
all the projects he’s done using animals.
